Tea at the Den

Bu Tea Den is a tea house and art lounge in DTLA, and the tea keeps going after dark. House tea comes with every visit. Natalie Tran sources the leaves and builds the blends, and she'll walk you through what you're drinking if you ask.

What we pour

The Den Blend, our house tea, runs through every event and comes with your ticket. There's also a rotating menu of loose-leaf teas to buy.

Past pours include First Flush, Pu'er, Jujube and a tea called Duck Shit Aroma. Ask what's steeping tonight.

When to come

Tea comes with every event at the Den: nights and weekends, plus Wednesday during the day. Wednesdays are the easy way in, with Cowork + Connect from 10am to 4pm.

Tastings and readings

We've tasted 8 green teas side by side with Stef of Tea Spectral, and read the leaves one on one in the same series. New tastings go on the events page as we set them.

Tea for your group

Bring your group to the Den for a private tasting, or we'll bring the tea bar to your office, party or festival. Tell us your date.

Can I just come in for tea?
Not without an RSVP. There are no walk-ins, so pick an event on the events page and the tea comes with it.
Is there alcohol?
No. Tea and non-alcoholic drinks only.
Where is it?
2715 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90007, in Historic South Central, just south of DTLA. How to get here.
